Yep, I made sure it was the Antec TruePower 550W. KK 1st of the month is gettin close now an just checked NewEgg,CompUSA,Best Buy online an seems like goin price for PS's are 100+ (for 500 watts for 8800)just don't wanna spend the money online an screw myself with a non AMD 64x2 dual 4600+ compatible PS. But freakin CompUSA wants alot of money plus a freakin warranty but i'm tellin em to suck off on that(big scam anyways) if i end up gettin it there. May go back to Best Buy as these guys seem more crooked then i thought Best Buy was.

All I can say is to read the reviews on Newegg for whatever PS you decide to get. 911, what about that other PS I told you about? I hardly ever buy my PC components locally, to d-amn expensive and I hate to deal with the rebates to get some of my money back after a few months wait. Too me, Newegg rocks! Spent thosands of dollars already thru Newegg. Did I mention that Newegg Rocks?... hehe BTW, my PS seems to be sufficient, a little lean on the wattage perhaps but there are NO PROBLEMS running my 2 8800's during hrs upon hrs of JO. Don't skimp on the PS, I knew it was gonna be close in my case but I was pretty sure it was gonna work, did I get lucky??? maybe... I kinda did my homework ya know Just get a 650W and up to be safe.

Yeah i was'nt to sure but will give newEgg a try I'm just leary about makin sure i get the right one for my pc, i seen one which i belive was a thermaltake that had a huge fan but think it 199.00 I'll cross refernce it from CompUSa an check it out on NewEgg. Maybe it'll be a lil cheaper too 8), wanted to have it all ready to go for ArmA US release also check this out KingMe. Saw this earlier today in the Armed Assault forumns. d**n link did'nt work I saw where they were talkin about new drivers for the 8800 series but the link was a EU link. Ppl were saying they got a dramatic fps jump in ArmA, don't know about any other games. (Quote from post i didn't try it yet, but with this driver everything run well all on max...they told me.. finally they solve problem with this game.. www.nvidia.it/object/winxp_2k_158.19_it.html )

one thing on ps ether your mb is 24 pin or 20 pin but most ps 24 pin come with a adapter to go to 20 pin so you should be save but you cant take a 20 pin to a 24 pin, just pull your pwer plug out of exsisting mb count pins theres also a 4 pin but count long one.

Yeah i'm such a noob when it comes to this stuff, we did'nt have computer class like they have in schools today. Maybe should've spent the $2500 I spent for the unusable CDL license/truck school I got for PC school huh. Found a Thermaltake 700watt on newegg for $169 i believe i think i saw it on Compusa for $200

Most of the new PS's comw with the 24-pin connector but they break down to 20 pin by pulling the 2 pieces apart froom eachother... The one thing you have to make sure that it is SLI compatible with your 8800... If you can try and get "MULTIPLE" 12volt Rails.... It will help out in the long run... Also with a Thermaltake PS they usually come with a TYPHOON fan built on them (5000rpm 4" fan) very quiet and very powerful cooler prolly the best on the market for Power Supplies... If Ttake is too expensive check out Vantec or Enermax... good quality cheaper prices...

Read the reviews on Newegg, Customer feedback is pretty informative... that is if they know what they are talking about.
So... Manuf. Specs. Reviews on the internet Customer feedback
BTW, I read that some of the Thermaltake's might not fit in certain computer cases due to it's size. Read the Customer reviews...

This wont really help you out any 911 but ive got a tharmaltake case and PS so obviously fit fine but for being my first PC build you can beat the case. Im using the fans that were already in the case 2 120's and a 90 (i believe it is) on the side and some of the reviews were negative about their fans but i dont have any complaint!! The fans are quiet for the most part. A bunch more fans than my last comp but seriously what do people expect when you throw a bunch of big fans in..? And i dont even have a lot of fans compared to some people, but even if they are louder would you rather hear a fan or have heat issues?
But like King said read the reviews and you can kinda see who knows what they are talking about and who is just picky.
